About Brightlife Coaching
Brightlife Coaching is all about partnering with you in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires you to maximize your personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today’s uncertain and complex environment. As an ICF coach, I pledge to honor you as the expert in your life and work and believe you are creative, resourceful, and whole.
I would be glad to welcome you as my client. My commitment to each client is to provide the best possible coaching I can and to adhere to the Code of Ethics of the International Coach Federation (ICF), my professional certifying organization.
Why do you want me as your coach? Take a look here to learn more about what I bring to our coaching relationship.
The time we spend together is your time, and you set the agenda.
Most of my clients choose to meet either weekly or every other week. Think about a schedule that will work best for you.
I am happy to engage with clients either face-to-face or via telephone.
Each session is approximately 50 minutes in length. Since I have clients before and after each coaching session it is important that we adhere to the 50-minute timeframe.
I ask new clients to begin by thinking about up to 10 goals you’d like to accomplish in the first 90 days. They can be either business or personal, concrete or “soft.”
You will probably want to take notes during the calls, so a notebook, pad, or computer is a good idea.
Be sure to check out my What is Coaching? page, and explore the types of coaching I offer.
If you have any questions about any of this, please don’t hesitate to contact me. You can use the form on the Contact page to schedule a free, no-obligation consultation to explore the dreams you want to realize and how we can partner together to attain them. I’m looking forward to working with you.
Hi. I'm so glad you found me. I hope if there's someway I can be of service to you, you will let me know.
I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certified through the International Coach Federation. I started Brightlife Coaching with the goal of helping people get unstuck and find a positive direction in their professional and personal lives.
Prior to starting my coaching practice, I served five years as ministry developer for the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, partnering with individuals and congregations in that re-organizing diocese to re-imagine how to be the church. Formerly I served as Program Officer for Lay Leadership on the staff of The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts-Schori, the first woman elected Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church. My work as a ministry developer in various sized congregations has allowed me to coach a wide variety of ministry leaders.
I feel like I have been an author my whole life. I have owned and published multiple community weekly newspapers, one of which included pioneering a community cable-based TV station. My family has owned and operated a print shop and a grocery store. I have served as the administrator of a Montessori school and as a parish community organizer for Catholic Charities. I am also a Trained Community Organizer through the IAF and am a founding member of the Sanoma Organizing Project. I hold degrees from Seabury-Western and Harvard, and I am the co-author, along with Fletcher Lowe, of Radical Sending: Go to Love and Serve, published in 2015 by Morehouse.
My goal is to help people - executives, managers, small business owners, individuals, parents, students, and others just like you find a new perspective. I want to be the coach who can partner with you to unleash your strengths. Let's have a cup of coffee and talk!
What's the Story With the Sunflowers?
Who doesn't smile and feel better when they see a sunflower? Sunflowers are known for being "happy" flowers, making them the perfect gift to bring joy to someone's day. They represent adoration, loyalty, longevity, positivity, and strength.
The sunflower's message is "Stand tall and follow your dreams. Focus on what's positive in your life and don't let others get you down."
Spiritually, the sunflower is a symbol of God's love. The blossom (bright and bountiful) is always turning toward the light. This is akin to the heart/soul seeking and attaining unity with the light of faith and keeping in connection with God. They are also filled with seeds just waiting to be planted.
I can't think of a better symbol for Brightlife Coaching, which teaches people to follow their own belief system and remain positive and strong.
